In celebration of Black History Month, Pastor Wilder discusses some of the challenges African Americans face today. Here are a few notes from last Sunday’s sermon. I hope you enjoy.

Notes: Haggai 1:2-11 “It’s Time”

1. Our Priority should be God

2. We eat and drink alot and are never full.

3. Everthing we seek after isn’t satisfying.

4. We have the wrong priorities.

5. We have reexamine our priorites.

6. We have to reject attitudes when opportunities are difficult.

 In this sermon Reverend Wilder finishes up his series in fasting. The name of the sermon is the Hall of Fame of Fasting. Listen while Pastor Wilder discusses how other people have benefited from fasting and praying.

 Notes From Sermon: Matthew 9:14-15

1. Fasting Means (Cover the Mouth)

2. Fasting helps brings your body under control.

3. Fasting helps reveal confessed sin your life.

4. Fasting allows you to get greater revelation from Jesus Christ.

5. Fasting Separates you from the crowd and gain a higher spiritual awareness.

6. Fasting allows you to hear God’s voice

7. Fasting confirms your place in him

Different types of Fast:

Daniels Fast: Vegetables and whole foods

Total Fast: Abstain from all foods

Absolute Fast: Abstain from food drink

Spiritual Benefits of Fasting: 

Restoring first love

Humbles us before God

Speaks to us about our true condition

Start process of revival in our lives

Breaks power of sin in our lives

 Physical Benefits:

-Allows our body to start process of healing itself

-Period of concentration rest and strengthens

-Fast increase mental awareness

-Prayer heightens our ability to hear God

-Gives you the ability to stand

-Hear what God is saying

 Fasting 101: Daniel 10:1-3 and Matthew 17:17-21

Every believer has the obligation to pray.

Praying always in supplication  and without ceasing.

Fasting means to cover the mouth.

Law of two means, witness testimony and establishment.

Not Good for man to be alone.

Obey commands and hear my voice.

Fasting prayer takes on new dimension:

1. God reveal to you confessed sins

2. Greater revelation of Jesus Christ

3. Separation from the crowd

4. Expect flesh to loose strength on your life.

5. Expect to hear Gods voice.

6. Expect God to confirm your place in him.

7. Expect God to confirm prayer. (Answers)

8. Expect to get a sense of reality on spiritual warfare.

9. Some element of future understanding.

10. Element of spiritual strength (Reward)

1. The process of reconciliation had been completed.

2. He became like us seated on the right side of God.

3. He released his spirit to live in us by the Holy Spirit.

Since Jesus got up, you can get up!!!!!
